Reverend Allan C. Keitt was born in Sumter, South Carolina on January 26,
1971, to the proud parents of Rev. Arnett C. Keitt and Ms. Yvonne C. Keitt. He
grew up as the middle child between two sisters, Ms. Marlene D. Boykin and
Ms. Shirlene D. Keitt.
He is married to Mrs. Tamara P. Keitt, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Marilyn Pollock of Irmo, SC. First Lady Keitt is a registered nurse and works for Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. Pastor and First Lady will be celebrating 19 years of a beautiful marriage on April 5, 2016. They have been blessed with three children in this union: two sons, Aaron and Taylor and one daughter, Hadaya.
Reverend Keitt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from South Carolina State University in 1996. While earning his undergraduate degree, he answered a call from God into ministry and was licensed to preach in January of 1993. Upon graduating in
December of 1996, he was ordained as a Baptist minister, by the late Bishop Robert L. Bishop. In 2008, Reverend Keitt was endorsed by the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. as a Chaplain Candidate for the United States Army Chaplaincy Corps. In December of 2015, Reverend Keitt completed the Masters of Divinity program at Erskine’s Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina. Reverend Keitt is
currently working on a Doctorate of Ministry, which will complete his post-graduate studies in theology.
Reverend Keitt previously served this country in the military as an enlisted member of the United States Marine Corps., from 1988 – 1994. After being honorably discharged, he transferred to the United States Army as a Commissioned Officer in 1997. After ten and a half years of active duty service, two tours of war (the Persian Gulf War and the Iraqi Freedom War), and over 20 medals, ribbons and awards to include the combat action ribbon and 3 Bronze Stars, Reverend Keitt now serves as a Major in the United States Army Reserves with the 457th CBRN BN, as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Executive Officer, in Greenville, South Carolina. He is also serving as a Hospice Chaplain with Comfort Care Hospice in Irmo, South Carolina.
In 2007, Reverend Keitt was sent by God to serve as the Under Sheppard of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist
Church in Blackville, SC. Under his administration there, new ministries were instituted, membership increased as
souls were saved, and the Church continues to grow and develop from a foundation that was reshaped and molded by
Reverend Keitt’s effervescent leadership style. After four and a half years of faithfully serving the people of God at
Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, God decided to reward him by increasing his level of responsibilities and service.
Respectably, in November of 2011, Reverend Keitt was elected to serve as the Senior Pastor of the Capernaum
Missionary Baptist Church of Denmark, South Carolina.
Pastor Keitt is working hard through ministry to meet the right now needs of God’s people, whom he has been given charge to care for and serve faithfully. In doing so, He has developed and instituted the following ministries which have been added to the existing Church Ministries at Capernaum: Boys II Men Ministry; Sister to Sister Ministry; Health & Wellness Ministry; Couples-n-Christ
Ministry; Single & Saved Ministry and a new Mother’s Board Ministry, which recognizes 20 mothers in our Church.
There are now 20 different ministries providing services to our members and people in the surrounding communities.
More great things are expected to come under his dynamic leadership.
